Eligible Geographic Areas
Developing countries with a GNP of or less than US$2,310 per person and preferably within Denmark’s programme countries.

Information about the funding opportunity
Support is provided to promote the production of development-related knowledge, and to build and maintain capacity for development research, both in partner countries and in Denmark.

Description, Remarks/Restrictions
Support will not be granted to developing countries with which Denmark has suspended development cooperation for overriding political reasons.

Eligible research topics
Market-based agricultural production in developing countries. Research may focus both on the relationship between agriculture and its adjacent sectors and on the social – including distributional – consequences of increased market access for agriculture.

Who can apply
The main applicant must be affiliated to a government institution, commercial enterprise or private organisation in Denmark. Foreign researchers must be affiliated with a research programme under a Danish host institution that assumes responsibility for the submission of accounts and reports to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
