EcoPort - Ecology Portal

Summary
The scope of the information and knowledge contained in EcoPort is determined by the fact that the world is a complex system wherein 'everything is connected to everything else'. Socio-economically this reality is captured in the southern-African spirit of ubuntu which procalims that: 'I am because we are; and we are because I am'. In ecological terms, this is a statement of ecology's 'axiom of relatedness' that shapes the Web of Life and which dictates that any system has to be understood and managed in terms of the balanced integration of all of its components.
