Distribution, Characterizaion and Complementary Conservation (ex-situ and in-situ) of Wild Population of Sea-buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides) in Uzbekistan (MSc Thesis)

Summary

Distribution of wild population of sea-buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides L.) in Zeravshan reserve is surveyed and 17 accessions of female and three male shrubs are selected in 2004-2005. The morphological and phenological study of selected accessions is conducted and collecting forms are filled in. Biochemical analysis of sea-buckthorn fruit is made.

Amongst other assessments the anthropogenic pressure on natural stands and socio-economic value of sea-buckthorn. The output are represented by recommendations for complementary ex-situ and conservation of wild populations of sea-buckthorn in Uzbekistan.
